My Work Experience - A Love Supreme

Image
So, I have been doing my work placement at popular Sunderland fanzine A Love Supreme. Whilst I've been there, I have written dozens of articles ranging from match previews, how we've fared against the opposition and transcribing press conference's. I even did some articles about the 2022 Qatar World Cup. By writing these articles I have developed my journalism skills, and built my own portfolio of articles. I began taking an interest in journalism in 2021, when I created my Instagram account Anonymous_SAFC. I wanted a place to give my opinions on SAFC, and A Love Supreme has helped give me a platform to voice my opinion. due to my work placement, I have being going into ALS every Friday, and I have done so since October.  Here is a link to my articles if you wish to read them. https://www.a-love-supreme.com/profile/0e679a99-3bd8-4037-8cbc-0308c791fb39/profile Here is one of my match previews, this one is Hull City. All of my previews follow this format, I personally kike to...

Networking Experiences

Here are all four of my networking posts. I am grateful for these opportunities and I hope to take the information I received on board. I wrote these up on a word template, and I spoke about them as people, as well as the event as a whole. These were good experiences for my progression. Additional Project - Animation Commentary Videos

Image
As well as doing the unboxing videos, I have also been creating my commentary videos. These videos can range from story time's, experiences, and opinions. I also use my character stills to help express my emotions, so they are another example of technical skill. I really enjoy creating these videos, and I have been consistently working on them over these last few months. I script these videos, so they take more time to make than my other projects. I do this because I really care about the quality of these projects. I have learned of how to make my stills transition into other expressions, and this is something I'm proud of.  Just like my other videos, I edit using a mixture of Kinemaster and Splice. The transitions on Splice are really professional, and they are perfect for displaying my technical skill. I have been editing with Kinemaster for four years, so I am really familiar with all of it's features. I really enjoy editing videos, and I would be open to the idea of bec...

Additional Project - Unboxing Videos

Image
So, over these last few months I have been making unboxing videos as well as doing this course. I have been unboxing Beyblades, and I have a YouTube channel with nearly 4k subscribers that is dedicated to them. My fans really enjoy my unboxing videos, so I thought I'd put some on my blog. They are a great display of my technical skill, and also show what I have been able to build in the media industry. I started making Beyblade unboxing videos in 2018, and I have developed them a lot since then. I edited these videos using a mixture of Kinemaster and Splice. I use Kinemaster for the majority of the process, and Splice for the transitions. I love doing a variety of different edits, ranging from zoom ins, green screen effects and flashy transitions. I have personally developed a reputation for doing raw videos, then editing the mistakes into the video and using them as humor. My fans enjoy this, so if it's not broke don't fix it. However, I do create scripted videos on my oth...

Mock Interview (Part 2)

Image
In this PowerPoint I discuss my BBC TV show Idea, that I will pitch at the end of January. This show could potentially get funding and air on TV, so I wanted to make sure I discussed my ideas and created a pilot episode. This will help my client gain a better understanding of the show. After they get a better look of the show, they will be able to decide on whether or not they want to invest in it.  Psychographics : My audience is most likely to mixture of mainstreamers and suceeders. This is because these are the types of people who are most likely to watch my product. My Show from ElliotDaroczy Here is my pilot episode This will help David Longworth get a better idea of what I am trying to create, and how long it will be. Hopefully, he will grasp a deeper understanding of the flow I'm going for. MY BBC MOCK INTERVIEW Here is my mock interview, I was interviewed by BBC Employee David Longworth, and it was recorded on Teams by Sally. If the video is a bit choppy then I apolo...

Mock Interviews (Research Part 1)

Image
Mock Interviews Here is the website I used to research https://www.fmcc.edu/academics/career-transfer/interviewing-techniques/ This PowerPoint has helped me learn more about interview techniques and what I should do when I go to an interview. It helped me get to know what type of questions they will ask me and how I should conduct myself. I will make sure to dress formally and conduct myself in a respectable manor. Create Britain Profile (Researching into existing portfolio from Create Britain is here as well)

Image
So, recently I made a Create Britain account. I now have a new place to showcase my work, videos and social media pages. I also list all of my skills, and talk about which ones I feel most comfortable with. For example I'm not just a video editor, I have also done journalism, video production, digital posts etc along side it. This is a quick and efficient way I can forward people my work and show them what I'm all about. Create Britain profiles have an easy to read format that allows you to see more information about someone, as well as this you see their social media pages, past work, and skills. This is way more efficient than creating a website. However, I didn't create my profile without doing research, so I created a PowerPoint all about the research I have done. Create Britain.pptx from ElliotDaroczy MY CREATE BRITAIN ACCOUNT -  https://www.createbritain.com/Profiles/elliotdaroczy As you can see I have used the same colour scheme that I used for my logo and bus...

Creating a Show Reel (Part 2)

Image
So, this post contains my Show Reel's, I took footage from my own videos and college projects in order to create these. I used two editing software's to create my video, I used Kinemaster Premium for the majority of the editing process, and I used Splice for the transitions. Splice has more advanced transitions. The main video I used for inspiration was the cut media show reel from 2019, you can see my analysis on my previous post. I filmed both of these show reels using my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, and my Galaxy S8. Firstly I gathered footage from my phone, as well as my YouTube channel. I downloaded some of my videos that are no longer on my phone on X2 Download, this allowed me to regain access to my old work. Once I had all my footage I ran them through the editing process. Firstly I put all the clips into Kinemaster, and added the necessary text to them. I then saved them as individual files, and put them into another project. After this, I put them all together and made them...

Research In To Existing Show Reels (Part 1)

Image
Research In To Existing   Show Reels What is the purpose of a show reel? A show reel is a short video showcasing a person's previous work and experience. Show reels are usually produced by or for people in the creative industries. A show reel is often associated with actors but can also include filmmakers, animators, musicians, editors, and models. If you are applying for a job, or starting your own business a show reel is a way to show your existing work to your clients, customers or anyone else who may be interested. Subject 1 - Weston college media show reel 2020  Length : 1:42 Logo : College logo This is a show reel for a college, rather than a personal show reel. Due to this, the product takes work from a variety of different students. This includes special effects, drone footage and vehicle cinematographers. It even includes work done outside of the UK, which shows that they have expanded their work. This is very professional and really showcases the best of what they ha...
