Mock Interviews (Research Part 1)

Mock Interviews

Here is the website I used to research
https://www.fmcc.edu/academics/career-transfer/interviewing-techniques/

This PowerPoint has helped me learn more about interview techniques and what I should do when I go to an interview. It helped me get to know what type of questions they will ask me and how I should conduct myself. I will make sure to dress formally and conduct myself in a respectable manor.

What are the top 10 interview tips?
These 10 interview tips will teach you how to answer interview questions and convince the hiring manager that you are the one for the job.
Practice Good Nonverbal Communication.
Dress for the Job or Company.
Listen.
Don't Talk Too Much.
Don't Be Too Familiar.
Use Appropriate Language.
Don't Be Cocky.

By applying these tips to my interview I will increase my chances of getting the job. I will make sure not to talk too much and not come across as familiar. I will also make sure I'm not cocky and arrogant when speaking to the interviewer. As well as this I will use the correct language and come across as articulate, smart and kind.

Here is a video I watched about interview techniques, it was very helpful and informative. The video specifies that job interviews can make or break an opportunity, so you have to make sure you don't mess it up. Body language is very important, the video wants you to have good posture. It suggests that you have your shoulders high and your back straight. Don't have your shoulders hunched with your head down. A persons posture can really show their character and enthusiasm. Make sure you research the company and find out more about what their aiming for. So, if your asked about what you can bring to the table, you can talk about something relevant to the companies goals. These are just a few key things I learned from this 5 minute tutorial, I recommend you give it a watch if you haven't already.
