Networking Experiences

Here are all four of my networking posts. I am grateful for these opportunities and I hope to take the information I received on board. I wrote these up on a word template, and I spoke about them as people, as well as the event as a whole. These were good experiences for my progression.

My Work Experience - A Love Supreme

So, I have been doing my work placement at popular Sunderland fanzine A Love Supreme. Whilst I've been there, I have written dozens of articles ranging from match previews, how we've fared against the opposition and transcribing press conference's. I even did some articles about the 2022 Qatar World Cup. By writing these articles I have developed my journalism skills, and built my own portfolio of articles. I began taking an interest in journalism in 2021, when I created my Instagram account Anonymous_SAFC. Working in the Media Industry

I found some local job options and what they are all about. This has helped me to think about more options for when I finish college and a range of courses or jobs I may want to look into applying to later on in the year. I have also applied to a BBC apprenticeship in Media Production, It's a part of the BBC Early Careers program. As well as content creation, I also want to look into video editing. So, I had a look on Indeed.com and found some editing jobs, I put the requirements onto this PowerPoint to give me a better idea of the type of salaries, qualifications, and skills I need to get one of these media related jobs. My Cover Letter Research (Part 1)

EXISTING PRODUCT So, here we have an example of a cover letter. As you can see, this person has gone into depth about their past in engineering. In mine I will talk about my past in content creation, and how I grow my pages. This person also spoke about their education, personally I will do this as well. However, I will share the grades I got because that helps my employers get to know me more. As well as this, they talk about what they are currently studying. I will talk about the fact I am a college student, who is studying media. This was helpful to read, it helped expand my knowledge on cover letters. I will consider this research when constructing my own.
