My Inspirations
This PowerPoint goes through my inspirations and influences in my media and content creation. If it wasn't for me discovering YouTube.com I wouldn't be where I am today. In this post I also discuss genres and websites instead of individual creators, this is because these are my inspirations. I want to be as honest as possible.
Videos that Inspired Me
This is an example of my own work, and if you watch both videos you can see I took some inspiration from the Beyblade Geeks. I made a few comedic references when reviewing the product, as well as reviewing it in depth. I also warned the viewers about Fake Beyblades, and compared the differences to the real products. I have made multiple different unboxing's here is just one example.
Here is an example of an animation story time video, this one is from Somethingelseyt. As you can see, this person uses an avatar and tells their story. Of course this person has better higher quality videos than me, but I did take inspiration from this style of content. I enjoy this genre, because it allows me to explore my creativity.
This is one of my videos, and you can see I used a character to tell my story as well. I did put my own spin on the matter, and mixed my video with game play. Both of these videos are school related, so watching the first video inspired me to make videos about my school. Although the editing style is slightly different, you can still see where I took inspiration.
Conclusion
So, my inspirations have really helped me model my content over the years, and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be where I am today. By watching their content, I grasped a better understanding of how I wanted to structure my videos. My inspirations had a direct impact on the flow, genre, and editing style used in my content. When I discovered YouTube.com, I found out that it was my favourite app, and I wanted to become a content creator. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't be taking a media course in college.
