Here is a PowerPoint where I research into my academic options. I research into UCAS, University and Apprenticeships. I wanted to asses my options before I dove into anything. I looked into two University courses, and discussed them. This helps me get a better idea of what these courses are about. This information will help me chose whether or not I want to go down this path.
I wanted to do some research into UCAS, just in case I ever need to use it at any point. This is information is helpful to know, because if I decide to go to university I will need to work out my UCAS points, as well as student finance.
Student Accommodation
Within a short distance of our two campuses, you’ll find three University-managed residences, each providing you with an excellent range of locations to choose from. You can enjoy a superb riverside view from Panns Bank or Scotia Quay, or the spacious surroundings of Clanny House.
They offer free transport across each of our accommodation residences, so you’ll be within easy reach of their two campuses and the city’s bustling social scene. Miles of golden, sandy beaches are just a ten minute walk from The Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter’s, close to Panns Bank and Scotia Quay, offering you the ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Living with other students could be a great way to meet new people, and each accommodation residence provides you with the perfect opportunity to make friends with people from around the world. You’ll have the option to choose who you want to live with, whether that’s with friends you already know, in a single gender flat, or in a single culture flat.

Here you can see the three different places, and their respective prices. You can pay for these with money you get from University, or money you earn from other jobs. If I where to go to University, I could get a small side job to help me pay for things. There are lots of different room options, but all three places are equipped with kitchen's and coin-operated laundry facilities. If I where to go to Sunderland University, I could just live at home. So, I wouldn't have to think too much about finding accommodation. However, this is all handy information to know, especially if I where to move elsewhere.
UC
So I did apply for 2 University Courses, here is what I've done so far!

As you can see I applied for two media courses at Sunderland University, The two courses I signed up for were Media Production and Social Media Management. I applied for Media Production because I enjoy creating and editing my own videos, so I will enjoy the production process. Technical Skill is my strongest point in media, I got a Distinction in technical skill last year. Not to mention I do my own videos in my spare time. I can chose to graduate with 1 of 3 degrees, Media Production, MP TV, and MP Radio. The Course is a BA (Hons) and takes place at the Sir Tom Cowie campus. It will also last for 3 years because it's a full time course. In order to join I will need 120 UCAS points. They also require three passes at GCSE grade C or above, which must include Mathematics and English Language; or a minimum of Level 2 Key Skills in Communication and Application of Number. If you have studied for a GCSE which has a numerical grade then you will need to achieve a grade 4 or above.
Speaking of videos I do in my spare time, Social Media management is the second course I signed up for, I personally really enjoy posting and managing social media accounts, so I think this course could be a really good fit for me. It is a BA (Hons) and it's a full time course that lasts for 3 years. It will teach me the necessary skills I need to become a social media manager. It takes place at Sir Tom Cowie campus. I would need 112 UCAS points to join this course. They also require three passes at GCSE grade C or above, which must include Mathematics and English Language; or a minimum of Level 2 Key Skills in Communication and Application of Number. If you have studied for a GCSE which has a numerical grade then you will need to achieve a grade 4 or above.
I've also now applied for the Media Production course with an integrated foundation year, just incase I don't have enough points to apply for the main one. This course is also a BA (Hons), but due to the integrated foundation year it's 4 years long.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I have looked into multiple different university courses, and I have even selected some as options. I have researched and applied to UCAS, and have looked into what I would need to go to university. As well as this, I looked into student accommodation and have found out how much it will cost to stay in a dorm, if I where to move out.
Although I've made it clear that university isn't my first choice, the research was still helpful, and it has enlightened me about what courses I could take. I'll keep University on the back burner, just in case things go wrong. Worst case scenario I go there at a later date.
